Just arrived at my hotel in Cairo, the Sheraton. The tour company put us tour members up nicely. Here’s a photo of the Nile from the room.

Got to say though that after landing, had trouble being allowed to be in the country because my COVID vaccination QR codes didn’t satisfy the Egyptians.

The tour company rep helped me and another guy who was also traveling solo get worked through. But, it took a PCR test on the spot and $65 for that test to be allowed to enter Egypt.

Oh, and the test had to come out negative which it did. Two hours of not knowing what was going to happen. Fun

I guess it’s all water under the bridge though. Man, it’s great to see the Nile. Can’t believe it. I must be in de Nile.
