Made it to NYC today. Flight was 11 and a half hours from Cairo. The US requires that passengers have a PCR test within 24 hours of flying and so my tour group of four had the test. Came out negative or I wouldn’t be in NYC now.
I’m staying the night in Queens about three miles from LaGuardia Airport because I couldn’t find a flight to Huntsville with enough layover time between arriving at JFK and leaving from LaGuardia.
Staying at a hotel I found on the Airbnb website. This is an interesting place. It looks like it caters to Indians. The guy who checked me in looked Indian. I don’t mean American Indian.
It’s always interesting to walk around the area. Found a tiny grocery store and the guy there made me a hot ham and cheese croissant that I took back to my room. Saw Christmas lights on the walk back. Nice to be back in NYC.
