Drove to Mt Rainier National Park this morning. Staying at the National Park Inn in the Longmire area. Did two short hikes, one on the Wonderland Trail.
The woods here are gorgeous. There are tall, old conifers, moss everywhere, the whitewater of Nisqually River, and where the clouds break, a view of the snowy lower slope of Mt Rainier.
There is no wifi and little to no cell service at the Inn but I found that if I walk 100 yards to where park personnel live I can connect to something.
That yellow flowered plant is skunk cabbage.
