Walked from my Airbnb to the Acropolis Museum, two minutes away. The museum holds the real stuff from the Parthenon and Acropolis. Copies occupy the original places but there’s a lot more in the museum.
Many original items from the Acropolis are in other museums all over the world. The British took a lot of pieces from the Parthenon and they’re now in the British Museum in London. The Greeks want them back. Still, the Acropolis Museum seemed like a world class museum.
The top floor is the best. The frieze of the Parthenon is laid out along the walls. Some of it is original and some is reproduction work. If you come to Athens you have to see the Acropolis and the museum.

Walked up Filopappou Hill which isn’t far from the Acropolis. The views were good. Could see the sea to the SW.
The monument is Philoppapos Monument. Philoppapos was a great benefactor of Athens around 114 AD.
The jail cell is said to be Socrates’ prison where Socrates was supposedly imprisoned for “corrupting” his students. But, it’s just a story and isn’t true. The cell is at the base of the hill.

Dinner in Athens near the Acropolis was a little over the top. Ordered the mixed grill and it looks like I will be having this for breakfast too. Not a good choice but good food. The red wine is from Crete, the largest Greek island.
And, just a view of a souvenir shop across the one lane, cobbled street. You should visit Athens. I really doubt you will be disappointed.
