September 17, 2022 – Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina

This morning it’s raining lightly. The clouds are low enough that the mountains are obscured. If I had taken the cable car today instead of yesterday there would be no view of the city from the top or even halfway up the mountain.

Walked to the Bascarsija area. That’s the bazaar and where the video with the pigeons was taken.

The falls is on the Miljacka River which in Sarajevo looks like a big drainage ditch.

Also, view from my window and a shot taken in a food market. I bought some big purple grapes for 50 cents.

Rained most of the day in Sarajevo. There was some thunder and lightning. Good thing I saw a lot yesterday.

Had dinner at an little old restaurant in the center of Sarajevo about a 3/4 mile walk away.

Had the cevapi that my AirBnB host recommended. It was ground beef sausages. The other links on the plate are sausages that tasted like what we can get at the grocery in the US.

You eat this by stuffing the pita-like bread with mustard, chopped onions and the sausages.

My AirBnB has a good view and since it rained all day I enjoyed that view instead of walking around in the rain.

  1. Keep the pictures coming! Love looking at them. Question….one of your post the pictures were larger……can you make the pictures larger?

    1. The size of the photos might be influenced by how many photos are in the gallery of the post. I’m still learning so maybe I’ll figure it out. Thanks for reading and commenting.
