This morning went to the Archeological Museum. It was loaded with statues, coins, parts of columns and some really interesting sarcophagus, including one once believed to have been prepared for Alexander the Great. That one is huge. It weighs 30 tons and is finely sculpted.
Items in the museum were from many periods and peoples of the eastern Mediterranean lands.
One bunch of rooms was on the ancient city of Troy which was on the western coast of Turkey.

Took the tram to the Galata Bridge. Loads of activity with lots of fishermen, boat traffic, trams, buses, people, more people and at least three large mosques in view. Could also see the Galata Tower, a major landmark of Istanbul.
Returned to my Guesthouse to regroup and a rainbow was in view. It rained this morning and I guess it rained recently over on the Asian side of Istanbul where the pot of gold is.

Lamb kababs for dinner along with something wrapped in grape leaves or, as the menu said, wine leaves. And, had a Turkish beer, Efes. It was nothing special.
The photo with the yellowish buildings shows the Asian side of Istanbul in the background. This is a view from my room at a guesthouse. I could see most of this view while in bed. There is a transmission tower and other buildings on that side that had a nice light show at night.
