Had dinner at Ravintolen Sea Horse, a ten minute walk from my AirBnB. Ravintolen is Finnish for restaurant. I’m teaching you Finnish. You’re welcome.
Had a Finnish gin and tonic to start with. It was excellent. It had ligonberries and a sprig of dill. The waitress told me that rosemary was supposed to be used but they were out of it. It was still a great drink.
For the main course, had crispy fried Baltic herring with mashed potatoes and dill pickled cucumbers. Very good Finnish dish.
And, why not have a Finnish dessert too. That was frozen cranberries with hot caramel sauce. That was great.
I rarely eat out at home, not even fast food, so I went big tonight.

In Kansallismuseo, the National Museum of Finland, there was a special collection of art from Finnish artist Akseli Gallen-Kallela.
Read the sign in one of the photos if you want more details on him. I enjoyed his stuff.

This morning in Helsinki, did a DIY hop-on-hop-off tram tour of the city. The tram and public transportation is easy to use but this is a very walkable city. I came across a Christmas market in the church plaza. Here are a few photos from earlier.
