My Airbnb hostess gave me a few tips for tonight. I told her I was going to go find a good view of the Eiffel Tower all lit up at night and she suggested a route. She also recommended three restaurants as choices for French food for dinner.
I found and went in the first place she suggested, Julien, about a ten minute walk from my Airbnb.
Had Grandma’s terrine for a starter and the calf’s head for the main course. The calf’s head tasted like beef but had a texture unlike anything I can remember eating.
Both courses were good. Had a glass of Gamay wine with it. In the US Gamay is sold around Thanksgiving and Christmas and usually labeled Beaujolais. It’s a red wine.
