Arrived at my Airbnb about 3 PM today. Staying in the Colonial Zone, or Zona Colonial as it’s properly known. Did the self check in thing and headed out for a walk suggested by my Lonely Planet book.
Here are some photos from the approximately two hour walk. I’ll post more when I have better wifi. Tomorrow I’ll probably walk the route again and go in some of the buildings. Many places closed at 4 PM.
The statue is of Christopher Columbus showing pigeons the way. Behind the statue is the oldest standing cathedral in the Western Hemisphere started in 1521. I plan to go in it tomorrow.
