This morning visited a few small museums in the Zona Colonial. One had documents Columbus wrote. I was amazed to be looking at something he wrote. Those papers are about 500 years old.

Museo de la Familia Dominicana
This museum displayed household items from the wealthy Spanish colonists, the elite of the time.

Had dinner at a restaurant named Petrus. It’s along Calle El Conde, a pedestrian street in the heart of the Zona Colonial.
Had a Ron Sour, Chicharrons de Pollo with tostones. Tostones are fried plantains. It was pretty good but you don’t get great value at restaurants in the Zona Colonial. Prices are higher than in the US.
