Mike's Site

Did a walk suggested in Rick Steves’ guide to Ireland. The walk started at Eyre Square with the square itself. There’s a bust of John F Kennedy there. He visited Galway in 1963 a few months before he was assassinated.

Other sights were Lynch’s Castle, St Nicholas Cathedral where Columbus is said to have visited in 1477, the Spanish Arch, Galway Museum, and scenery along River Corrib. Galway doesn’t have a lot of old sights. It sure has a lot of tourists though. But, I’m to be added to the crowd.
