Photos of the day include a visit to a Soviet sanatorium, a museum to the Russian explorer Pristan Przhevalsky, a stop at Issyk Kul, service in a Russian Orthodox Church, a visit to a Chinese mosque and a yurt building demo.
Just an average day.
Dinner tonight was at a Uyghur family’s house. Good food but you don’t come to central Asia to be a foodie.
The family cooked and served the food but we didn’t get time to get to know them and properly express our appreciation.
The drink was cognac from a bottle one of the tour group members bought today.
We’re served black or green tea usually. There’s coffee in the mornings but it’s instant, usually Nescafe.
