Late start this morning. Breakfast was Huevos Rancheros at a little restaurant nearby.
It was fried eggs, chorizo sausage and salsa over two corn tortillas. Spicy and tasty.
Have a good day.

Templo Mayor is the remains of the main Aztec temple of Tenochtitlan, the Aztec city Cortez came upon in 1519 and conquered in 1521. The best weapon the Spanish had were the diseases they brought and to which the natives had no immunity.
Hired a guide to explain the details of Templo Mayor. He was pretty good. Give Israel Mendoza a try if you’re near the ruins. I’ve got his number if you need it.
Templo Mayor is next to the Metropolitan Cathedral and Zocalo. The Zocalo is the heart of Mexico City. The Spanish used stone from Templo Mayor to build the cathedral.
A few more photos from the center of Mexico City.
And, for dinner. Pizza at nearby Cancino Restaurant. Gin and tonic too. There are some good restaurants in Mexico City.
The pizza had corn kernels and jalapeño slices as well as white cheese from Oaxaca. Really good thin crust pizza but some charring of the crust would have added more flavor.
From your food critic (Yes, I’m kidding) in Mexico City, have a good evening.
