Took an ADO bus from Orizaba to Xalapa today. Six long hours without a stop. The bus had a bathroom and showed movies on six small screens distributed throughout the bus.
Of course, the movies were in Spanish. I’m constantly looking up stuff with Google Translate so translating words and phrases is my new hobby.
The route changed abruptly at one point. The highway was so congested the bus driver turned the bus around and drove about a mile going the wrong way on the highway, against traffic. The oncoming traffic got out of the way, fortunately. Crazy stuff.
Xalapa is in the same mountains of Eastern Mexico as Orizaba. It has about 489,000 people and sits at 4649 ft. So, the climate, like in Orizaba, is pleasant.
Have a good evening.
