We’re in Baku Azerbaijan now after an hour flight.
So far, Azerbaijan hasn’t impressed. Trouble with a taxi driver, hotel, language difficulties, and the city didn’t look all that appealing on the taxi ride from the airport. But, just arrived three hours ago.

Okay, Baku is better than we thought, very vibrant, interesting and Big.
Walked a bit from the hotel, mainly toward the shore of the Caspian Sea and along part of the race course of the Formula One Grand Prix.
Lee geeked out near the pit area and winner’s platform on the course. Lee is a big fan of the sport and excitedly gave me a brief education.
Feels like this is going to be an interesting visit.
