Went to the Botero Museum this morning. Botero was a famous painter and sculpter here in Colombia. His works are known for, well, how to put it, chubby, corpulent, obese, full figured, rotund, American-like figures.
Okay, just going for a laugh on the last one.
Saw a Botero sculpture at the Cascades Complex in Yerevan, Armenia in October. There are Botero sculptures scattered around the world, I think.
Almost all works by Botero have figures with closed mouths, no teeth showing, no smiles.
Botero’s works can be recognized from across a room because of their unique feature of plumpness.
