Went with some of the group on a tour of a mangrove lagoon near Cartagena. Threw out crab traps from our boat and tried to catch fish with throw nets.
Caught about eight crabs but zero fish. Good thing the local restaurant under the big thatched roof had fish for lunch. Our crabs were cooked as an after lunch treat.
It’s Sunday and there are lots of people on the beach. The water isn’t pretty because a nearby river dumps silt into the sea. The water is a murky brown interrupted by white, crashing three foot waves.
