There are several really good museums in Ulaanbaatar. The National Museum of Mongolia, the Natural History Museum of Mongolia and Choijin Lama Temple Museum were three we visited today.
I think one museum a day is enough but these museums weren’t big. All gave good insight into Mongolia. Hope to visit the Chingis Khan Museum tomorrow.
Met other tour members at the tour meeting this evening: five Brits, four Australians, a German, a Dutch, and three Americans. We all speak a version of English.
The weather was sunny but cool today. This city is at about 4000 ft elevation and has very cold winters. It’s the coldest capital city in the world. Temps can go down to -30 degrees F. When the snow comes it stays until Spring.
