Dec 8, 2025 – Kingstown, St Vincent and the Grenadines

There’s a ferry system in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) running between islands. It’s a good way to way to get around and these islands are well worth a visit if you like the Caribbean with its beaches, laid back style, beautiful water, good food and people.

Took a ferry nine miles south to the closest and largest of the Grenadines, Becquia (pronounced Beck-way). The island would have been a good place to stay if I had planned better. The Grenadines look like a great place to sail. While on the ferry returning from Becquia, I counted six sailboats in the distance and I’m sure there were many more out there.

The nine miles took about thirty minutes and cost $24 US round trip.

Cheers

  1. What’s the temp been on this trip? Have you felt the water? Is the water warm? It’s been gloomy and cold at home! Beautiful pictures as always!

    1. Highs have been in the mid 80s. There are rain showers sometimes but they don’t last long but there might be another in an hour or two.

A friend of mine had a bonfire last Saturday. He said it took about four or five of the people attending about four hours to get the thing lit. So, it sounds he started with soggy wood.

      Have a good one.

    2. Oh, and it’s humid here.
