Dec 10, 2025 – Soufriere, St Lucia

Found a local guide, named Marlon Brando, who took me by boat snorkeling near two beaches near Soufriere. Saw lots of different kinds of fishes and corals.

Had two snorkeling sessions and both seemed too short even though they really weren’t. Spent about 45 minutes for each. There was just a lot to see. Great experience.

Cheers

  1. What’s the water temp? Hope you’re having a great time.

    1. Having an interesting time with a lot of local flavor. I’ve been eating the local dishes and they’ve been very good.

The water was warm but got a little cooler in the shadows of the steep hills here. The Black sand beaches are warm but soft. Easy walking. There is a white sand beach at one beach but that sand was brought in from Trinidad. Black sand is the norm here because this island was formed from volcanic activity.

There’s still thermal springs and such here.

      1. oh wow! So interesting! When we were in Maui went to a national park and they had black sand beach. It was so corse. Enjoy your time!
