Hired a driver who drove us north 90 miles on the Georgia Military Road to the Russian border through a valley in the Caucasus Mountains. The road is an ancient route between Russia and Georgia. Among a number of things to do today was to enjoy a great lunch of Georgian food. We then drove to Tbilisi, the capital and largest city of Georgia. And you thought I was going to say Atlanta. Ha Stopped at a village and had a great lunch. Best food of the trip.

Today, we drove to northern Armenia stopping at Lake Sevan, a large lake at around 6000 ft altitude. Beautiful natural lake with water cold enough for trout and sturgeon. Day trip from Yerevan to Khor Virap Monastery with a great view of Mt Ararat. Then, to the Roman temple of Garni. Arrived in Yerevan, Armenia late tonight after about 18 hours of flying and layovers. And, lost a bunch of hours by flying this far east. Armenia is east of Turkey.
