Got a ride on the back of a motorbike to Javo Beach on Rincon Bay about a mile from my Airbnb. Cost 100 pesos.

The bay might have been the last stop Columbus made before sailing back to Europe. Some historians think his last stop was Samana Bay where I was the last two days and where I went whale watching.

The fish, pescado in Spanish, was really good at a little restaurant about 100 yards from my place.

The portion sizes were large. Couldn’t finish everything. Cost 800 pesos or about $14 US. That included a 650 ml Presidente beer.

A guy from the restaurant had to take his motorbike and go buy the beer somewhere but he was pretty quick and the beer was cold.
