Walked to a lighthouse at the mouth of Dingle harbor. It was mostly a grass path along the harbor shore. Three miles out and back from Dingle.
When I got back to town there was a Gaelic football game in a playing field, or as they call it, a pitch.
Caught the last 45 minutes of the game. I don’t know the rules but it looked like a combination of our football, soccer, and rugby. It can get rough but as a spectator’s t-shirt read, “No blood, No foul”.
It wasn’t just a neighborhood game. These were pretty good teams. Dingle won. A man told me the opponent was from what sounded like “Sticks”. I’m sure I’m not spelling that right. Fun to watch.
