Arrived in Newcastle, England about midday. It’s a old city of about 300,000 people on the north side of the Tyne River in northeast England. Newcastle has lots of old buildings and bridges, a lot of character.
There’s one pub where people have been drinking for over a thousand years. I’d say they’ve had about enough.
I’m here to see my buddy and meet his real wife, Helen. I say she’s rea because all I’ve seen before were photos and in this new age of AI, who knows what’s real. But, I am positive Trump is Pope now that Pope Francis has passed away.
My knees got crushed on the seven hour flight from Charlotte to London. American Airlines apparently doesn’t believe six foot tall people should ride in Economy. No leg room.
Great to be in Newcastle. Now, to stretch my legs.
