Today, me and my travel buddy, Lee, walked into the main part of this little town and then along a road for about a mile. The road ran along the coast. Nice scenery.
Then, we came to the town dump where we found a way up and out of it and onto the tundra. The ground plants were thick and soft underfoot. Sometimes they hid holes so footing had to be carefully chosen.
We made it to a point of land with a great view of the fiord and all the way to the Labrador Sea. That sea separates Greenland with Baffin Island of Canada.
We sat, looked through binoculars for wildlife but saw none. An iceberg in the distance was the only thing that stood out but the scene was still very nice.
We returned the same way, stopping at several grocery shops to buy stuff for dinner. After yesterday’s eight mile walk today’s walk of about three miles was enough.
The weather was super today with temps in the upper 40s and it was sunny.
